This contract involved the installation of a 24kw heat pump roof-top package unit. The cooled/heated air is introduced to the dance studio via flow and return ducting, and the temperature is regulated by a controller located in the studio, with return air temperature sensors located in the ducting.

Due to the open plan design of this store, all mechanical and electrical services are clearly in the public view. This meant that all workmanship had to be cosmetically, as well as technically, of the highest standard. The installation comprised of four separate air conditioning systems providing a total of 113kw heating/cooling through the store.

Also an open plan store, but due to the glass roof, we were faced with the additional problem of solar heat gain in summer. This was overcome by incorporating roof fans into the system design as well as air conditioning ducting units that were slotted into the eaves so as to be out of sight. The building was listed and special steels had to be procured and engineered to hold the condensers that sat on the roof.

This was a medium-sized commercial project that was won by creative system design and our ability to guarantee hitting the deadline, despite the installation difficulties posed by the solid concrete construction of the building.

This client had a 10 fan coil R22 VRV system located on the ground floor; the system had been failing for over a year and a number of contractors had attended the site during that period and had attempted repairs to the system but without success. Air 2K were called and immediately surveyed the system before commencing work. The survey highlighted that further repair was uneconomic and also that the new legislation (F-Gas) coming into force meant that the system would have to be replaced in the near future.
We quoted for a new system and within 7 days, working nights and at the weekend, we stripped out and disposed of the old system and installed a new efficient system. We have since enjoyed repeat business from this client for other properties.

Air 2K had a call out to this Birmingham restaurant/bar at 5.00pm on a Friday night. Our engineer arrived at 6.00pm and found all three air conditioning units had fault codes. Due to the time, we couldn't get hold of any parts, so our engineer managed to cannibalise the system and get two out of three systems working that night. The client was delighted as it was mid June and they had been worried about loss of custom over the weekend.
